Metal plant supports are often the secret to spectacular borders allowing your plants to flourish as well as adding structural interest throughout the years.

Here are just a few benefits of using our metal plant supports:

You can, but you certainly do not have to!  The support and stakes are maintenance free and can stay in gardens and containers year-round to add a touch of interest to your landscape even when the plants are dormant. Even better, they serve as helpful markers in spring, reminding you exactly where your plants are before they emerge.

When plant supports and stakes are first purchased, they will typically have a uncoated, silverish/shiny metal appearance.  Some items may already show some rusting which is normal.  We leave all items untreated to achieve a beautiful, rich, antique patina that develops naturally over time (usually within a few weeks). This ensures they’ll blend seamlessly into any garden setting.  To speed up the rusting process we recommend spraying your product with a vinegar/water mix (10% vinegar) after which the rusting process will start within a few days.

Absolutely! Your plant support can be painted to match your garden aesthetic. For best results, simply clean and lightly sand the surface before applying paint. Rust-Oleum offers a wide range of colors to personalize your support and create a cohesive look in your garden.

Availability depends on the time of year and product popularity. We stock several sizes for most items. However, if your desired size is unavailable, we can craft it within seven to ten business days. The checkout calendar reflects potential production lead times. After placing your order, we’ll confirm stock availability and offer you the option to reschedule your pickup if needed.

Can’t find the perfect plant support in our collection? No worries! We love collaborating on custom projects. Reach out to us through our Contact Us page with your specifications.  Feel free to include inspiration photos (send them to info@twistandstake.com). We’ll review your request and let you know if we can craft it based on material availability and our current capacity. If feasible, we’ll provide a quote and estimated lead time. Please note: Custom orders are final sale.

We do not have our own retail location at this time.  A selection of our products are available locally at Little Emporium in Newtown, CT.

All products are made at our workshop in Newtown, CT and can be picked up by appointment only. 

We currently do not offer shipping on any of our products.  

We hope that you are delighted with your order.  Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns.  In the unlikely event that an item is defective, please let us know and we’ll find the right solution.  We will either replace it, or issue you a refund.

All our products are handmade using high-quality materials and are designed to last for many years to come.  Please contact us via email, text or phone in the unlikely event an item is defective and we will be happy to find a solution for you.
